In today's world, it is essential to transform the guest's experience on the property to the online realm, leaving the guests wanting to experience your property first-hand. One effective way to do this is by leveraging the power of ResortPass, an innovative online marketplace that offers guests day access to luxury hotel amenities. Hotels can showcase their many amenities and experiences, while also driving incremental revenue through non-room offerings on the channel. This approach represents a win-win for hotels and guests alike, as it allows hotels to maximize their exposure and revenue potential while providing guests with unparalleled access to some of the most luxurious hotel amenities available anywhere.

As one of the world’s top 100 marketplaces, ResortPass spends significant efforts and resources in driving brand awareness and new users to their site, and in turn, to the pages of our hotel partners. We believe that non-overnight guests often visit hotel websites to better understand the experience they can expect during their daycation, before making a purchase on ResortPass. We have also observed significant referral traffic from several of our top hotel partners' websites. We found many of our partners were already linking their ResortPass pages to their hotel websites including The Arizona Biltmore, Kimpton Surfcomber, and Hilton Waikoloa Village.

We wanted to understand the impact that our service was having on our partners' customer acquisition, conversion, and revenue. To test this hypothesis, we partnered with Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows, a 5-star luxury urban oasis located in Scottsdale, AZ. Andaz Scottsdale wanted to sell more cabanas and saw this as an opportunity to test if adding a link for non-hotel guests to purchase cabanas on their website would increase sales.

Andaz Scottsdale already had a link under the "pools & cabanas" section of their website for hotel guests to reserve cabanas. This custom booking site is also provided by ResortPass and allows the hotel to manage all of its non-room offerings in one solution. They added a second option for non-hotel guests to reserve cabanas, which directed them to their ResortPass page, making it easy for any type of guest to make a reservation.

ResortPass measured results over 30 days before and after implementing the ResortPass link, revealing a huge increase in revenue, sales, and new customers. Overall, their ResortPass revenue exceeded the prior month's earnings with a 329% increase in day pass sales. Cabana sales alone increased by 200% on ResortPass, with a slight increase in the average cabana rate as well. The number of new users also shot up with an increase of 139% month-over-month.

However, it's important to note that availability is also a significant factor. Hotels have complete control over the availability and pricing, allowing them to adjust prices based on demand, seasonality, and other factors to maximize revenue.

“ResortPass allowed the hotel to fill the void and increase pool revenue during low occupancy and group heavy days”

Pavel Efremov, Assistant Director of Operations at Andaz Scottsdale

We also discovered that 46% of guests were more likely to make a purchase when directed from the hotel website. The connection between the hotel website and ResortPass establishes trust between the two parties. This trust leads to more sales, repeat customers, higher conversion rates, a larger customer base, and ultimately, increased revenue.

In conclusion, linking your hotel website to your ResortPass page is a simple and effective way to improve your hotel's online presence and increase revenue. As demonstrated by Andaz Scottsdale, this approach can yield impressive results in a short period of time. Don't miss out on the opportunity to enhance your guest experience and increase your sales. Add your ResortPass link to your hotel website today and start reaping the benefits!
