Product Launch: Spa Pass drives high-margin revenue to spas
According to McKinsey, the wellness market is a $1.8 trillion global industry with Millennial and Gen Z consumers spending more on health and wellness than older generations.
Hotel Dive reports that hotels have been investing in their wellness offerings to cater to their guests’ evolving interests and in many cases, this investment is in the spa with technology like infrared saunas and LED lights, which are great for vacation travelers and those looking for a single day away.
We see this demand for spa wellness experiences in our user data too. Spa offerings are the #1 most sought-after amenity among our customers, and the “Spa” filter is the most used in our marketplace. Customers are looking for unique, flexible ways to treat themselves to wellness experiences in addition to the typical massages and facials.
