Ready for the Rush: Your July 4th Weekend Action Plan
July 4th weekend is when day guests have the highest demand for hotel pools and amenities. We’re projecting that over 100,000 day guests will book with partner hotels during the week of the 4th. This means you can earn more revenue if you prepare correctly. With travel spending softer this summer, it’s a perfect moment to capture the spirit of celebration with locals.
Your July 4th Checklist
- Make Sure the Price is Right
It’s tempting to treat a high-demand moment as an opportunity to automatically raise prices across the board. But each hotel should consider the economics of their current pricing when deciding how to price for the holiday weekend in order to maximize total revenue.
According to Tyler Pincus, Head of Marketplace Strategy at ResortPass, a good rule of thumb for optimal pricing is:
Raise your prices if…
- You typically sell at least half of your day passes on weekdays.
ResortPass data from past years suggests that hotels regularly selling through inventory can charge 15%-30% more than normal weekend prices for pool products and still sell out.
Match your July 4th prices to your standard weekend pricing if…
- You sell fewer than half of your day passes on a typical weekday.
Enable Dynamic Pricing on your inventory to make sure that you don’t miss out on any swings in demand. Simply assign a minimum and maximum price for each product on each day of the week of the 4th that aligns with the pricing strategy that’s best for you Demand is highest Thursday, July 3rd - Sunday, July 6th.
- Open Your Available Inventory

Favorite Memories from Last Year
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great music and vibes for 4th of July!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We purchased a day pass on the 4th of July and it was great! Got to sit poolside and enjoy the music before riding down to the wharf to watch the fireworks. We will definitely book again.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment we arrived on property until we departed, we were treated with five star hospitality and service. The pool is beautiful, the staff are friendly, and the food is fantastic. What more can you ask for? It was a holiday weekend so the staff was passing out complimentary popsicles, watermelon, and fruit smoothies. They even had temporary tattoos for the kids and a DJ. The vibe was "vacation at its best"! Can't wait to go again.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a great time with my better half. I wanted to take her out for a nice lunch/4th of July kickback. The staff was so kind from valet, front lobby, cafe (Mario and Ky), the cocktail vendor, DJ. Everyone was in a great mood! We will definitely be back again and recommend our friends.
